Easter Egg Hunting on Table Mountain

Are you looking for a fun activity to do with your children this Easter? If so, what could be more fun than an Easter egg hunt on the biggest table of them all - Table Mountain? The Table Mountain Easter Egg Hunt is an annual Easter Sunday tradition that many of the children look forward to with glee each year, and it is the perfect Sunday outing for the whole family, whether you live locally or are in the Mother City on holiday.

Hop the Easter Bunny, Sparkle the Easter Fairy, and The Mad Hatter get up very early in the morning to hide Easter eggs and other chocolate treats all over the mountain for young treasure-hunters to find. They also draw up wonderful treasure maps that are not too difficult for the young ones to follow.

In order to take part in the Table Mountain Easter Egg Hunt, you and your children will have to take the Table Mountain Cableway up to the top of Table Mountain. Once you are there, you and your children will be met by Hop, Sparkle, and The Mad Hatter with big smiles and the children will each be given a series of clues to follow in order to find as many of the treasures as they can.
Apart from the main Table Mountain Easter Egg Hunt, there are also various other activities in which the children can take part, such as diving into a huge barrel of balls and spinning the wheel.

There is also plenty for the adults to do whilst the children are playing in the huge garden in the sky, such as enjoying the great view from this New Seventh Wonder of Nature, taking a walk along one of the many paths that crisscross the mountain, visiting the Table Mountain Café or the Shop at the Top for a light snack or a meal, or even buying some souvenirs or clothing.

Although the exact details of this year’s Easter Egg Hunt on Table Mountain have not been released as yet, if the past years are anything to go by:
