Travelstart Tanzania re-launches Travel Website with Enhanced Features and a new design
16 months after launching in Tanzania, online travel company Travelstart has re-launched their website with a range of exciting new features including a car rental and hotel booking portal.
Dar es Salaam, 26 March, 2012 – When it comes to searching and booking travel, Tanzanians have shown a positive shift towards the online space. This is largely thanks to Travelstart – the first online travel agency in Tanzania.
Maija de Rijk-Uys, Head of New Markets at Travelstart says: “Tanzanians have seen the savings that can be made by booking travel online through Travelstart and the websites ease of use and convenience has received very positive feedback. We’ve had an amazing upward growth, with year-on-year sales increasing by about 40% in January 2012; and overall annual sales increasing on average by more than 45%.”
Now Travelstart has re-launched their www.travelstart.co.tz website with a fresh design and even greater features as well as new hotel and car rental booking portals. So in addition to finding the cheapest available flights, customers can rent cars on all 7 continents with inventory from multiple sources to ensure the best availability at competitive prices as well as browsing a great selection of quality accommodation all around the globe.
Travelstart Tanzania brings travellers low airfares and travel deals on an easy to use online booking platform that anyone with an Internet connection can use. Prices displayed on the website are always the cheapest available at a given point in time, include taxes and can be booked at any time of the day. Tanzanian customers can book and pay for flights, hotels and car rental direct from the website without fear of hidden costs. Partnering with M-Pesa has also made it possible to pay for flights booked on Travelstart with a mobile phone.
Mustafa Rajani, joint venture partner at Travelstart Tanzania says: “Our rapid growth in the Tanzanian market is primarily thanks to clients preferring to save both money and time by booking their travels online.”
Travelstart reports the top selling airlines on their Tanzanian website to be Emirates and Qatar Airways, followed closely by local airline Precision Air. Maija continues, “Seven out of our top ten routes are international bookings with the most popular route being Dar es Salaam-Mumbai. Johannesburg (South Africa) and Nairobi (Kenya) were in top 2 and 3 positions.”
