R110) for 24 hours or the \u2018anonymous\u2019 re-loadable card which also costs \u20ac7.50 (Approx. R110) for the card which you then load with credit.<\/p>\n<p>Tip: Unless you\u2019re planning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.co.za\/lp\/cheap-flights-to-amsterdam\">visit Amsterdam again soon<\/a>, get a disposable time-based card. For 48 hours, it\u2019s \u20ac12.50 (Approx. R182). And just remember that neither of these cards get you to\/from the airport.<\/p>\n<h2>Ask a Local Where to Eat<\/h2>\n<p>The Dutch are a pretty friendly crowd and they\u2019re definitely proud of where they live and what they eat. So, if you\u2019re looking for somewhere to eat that\u2019s a bit off the beaten track, ask a local. Instead, visit one of Amsterdam\u2019s many street markets where you\u2019ll find all sorts of things ranging from painted clogs in bags to bicycle bells and accessories. While you\u2019re at one of the markets, make the most of the street food around you.
