Due to France’s location on Europe’s Atlantic Coast, the weather is hugely determined by the blowing winds from the ocean. Therefore\u00a0Paris experiences a maritime climate. Season temperature differences\u00a0are quite\u00a0prevalent between winter and summer, but extreme temperatures are rare.<\/p>\n

Rainfall is steady year round with unexpected showers from time to time. In general, rainfall is quite low in comparison to the surrounding regions in the country.<\/p>\n

Summers in Paris have been known to reach highs of 40\u00b0C, but this is not a regular occurrence. When there is a heat wave, expect temperatures of up to 30\u00b0C, otherwise summer on average experiences temperatures of around the mid-20 mark. If its long balmy evenings you are after, Paris is definitely the place to be. Be prepared for evenings filled with exquisite French cuisine while sipping some of France’s finest wines.<\/p>\n
