Thankfully a South African has come to the rescue bringing <strong>equestrian touring to the Pampas<\/strong> of Argentina. After reading our Buenos Aires newsletter, David Sauermann had this story and some exciting tours to share:<\/p>\n<h2>South Africa to Argentina, via Greece<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>I received your newsletter via my sister, Gail Alexander; who forwarded it to me as I have just <strong>moved to Buenos Aires<\/strong> to launch a <strong>exciting new project<\/strong>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.argentinahorseadventures.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Argentina Horse Adventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am of course South African, left to open a <strong>similar business in Greece<\/strong> in 1993 and with the <strong>economic crisis<\/strong> there at the moment, the horse business is <strong>no longer viable<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>The tough road to a successful tour company in Argentina<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>I spent <strong>many weeks in Argentina<\/strong> last year researching my project and as you say in your newsletter, they are <strong>not geared for tourism<\/strong> , as we know it, and although <strong>famous for their horses<\/strong>, the accessibility to quality equestrian activities is difficult. <strong>I was determined<\/strong> enough to search and dig deep until I found my way; it even took becoming a\u00a0 <strong>member of certain organizations<\/strong> at a cost, but <strong>I succeeded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I am now <strong>well integrated<\/strong> in the horsey circle here in <strong>Buenos Aires<\/strong> and would like to <strong>share my knowledge<\/strong> with interested visitors.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>South African inspiration<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/horseback-riding-tours-argentina-buenos-aires\/argentina-horse-ride\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14971\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-14971 size-full\" title=\"Argentina Horse Ride\" src=\"https:\/\/travelstartmu.wpenginepowered.com\/zablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/Argentina-Horse-Ride.jpg\" alt=\"Riders on horseback crossing a river in argentina\" width=\"488\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a>I know that South Africa is a very <strong>horsey country<\/strong> and I am still <strong>well known<\/strong> there, having been a <strong>regular competitor<\/strong> in Show-jumping, I owned also some <strong>racehorses<\/strong> and <strong>played some polo<\/strong> for fun; my mum and sister <strong>still live in Durban<\/strong>, so I have been back <strong>regularly on holiday<\/strong>, as recent as last October, where I actually <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelstart.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flew direct to Buenos Aires<\/a> from Cape Town with Malaysia Air.<\/p>\n<p>I have just made available the<strong> excursion itinary<\/strong>, where <strong>visitors can choose<\/strong> to do one or more of the <strong>activities<\/strong> on a simple blog page about it, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buenosaireshorseadventures.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buenos Aires Horse Adventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am very excited about the possibility of <strong>showing other South Africans<\/strong> around this <strong>great city<\/strong>; so I would appreciate your serious consideration on this matter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This sounds amazing!
