Be it for leisure, business, temporarily or permanently the chance of bumping into a South African on the tube or in a Wimbledon pub is very likely.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/flying-the-flag-in-london\/south-african-flag\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19107\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19107\" title=\"South African Flag\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-African-Flag.jpg\" alt=\"South African Flag\" width=\"570\" height=\"381\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While stricter <a title=\"UK Visa\" href=\"http:\/\/www.travelstart.co.za\/visa-services-south-africa.jsp \" target=\"_blank\">UK Visa<\/a> laws have made it increasingly difficult and less affordable to just pop over to jolly old England, London still attracts South Africans in their droves. As a result, \u2018South Africanisms\u2019 have started popping up all over the UK bringing joy to expats and locals alike. After a bit of hardcore research (mainly some Skype chats and a few group emails to friends in the UK), I\u2019ve found some <strong>South African shops and restaurants<\/strong> that will come to your rescue when homesickness strikes. If you\u2019re in London and find yourself craving some tastes from home then read on.<\/p>\n<h2>South African Shops in London <a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/flying-the-flag-in-london\/p1020350\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19108\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-19108\" title=\"South African Shop\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelstart.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/South-African-Shop.jpg\" alt=\"South African Shop\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s a well-known fact that you don\u2019t have to stray too far from the nest to find South African \u2018delicacies\u2019 like biltong, Aquafresh and Ouma Rusks in London. That\u2019s right \u2013 we\u2019re setting up shop in London and we\u2019re doing pretty well!<\/p>\n<p>Many SA shops are located in South West London as there is a high concentration of Saffas living in this area. You\u2019ll find plenty of unique, South African stores in areas like Fulham, Putney, Wimbledon and Southfields. Some of the most popular <strong>South African shops in London<\/strong> include <a title=\"Savanna South African Shop in London\" href=\" http:\/\/www.thesavanna.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Savanna<\/a> and <a title=\"Snoggys South African Shop in London\" href=\"http:\/\/www.snoggys.com\/ \" target=\"_blank\">Snoggys<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other stores like Tesco\u2019s in the Wimbledon Centre Court Shopping have caught on to the South African \u2018Local is Lekker\u2019 idea and stock a limited range of South African products. CTFM is located in central London and brings a fresh taste of South Africa to its customers with its chic yet informal surroundings.
