When you get to the cooling towers, discover a fabulous vibe. The young and funky local staff will make you feel welcome with lively music providing the background.<\/p>\n

The cooling towers feature the images of Soweto, from the black Madonna of Regina Mundi to Nelson Mandela. You could just visit the Soweto Towers to see the art! Constructed in the 1950s, the cooling towers were once part of the Orlando Power Station which, for the Brits, looks a lot like the Tate Modern.<\/p>\n

Now, the towers offer bungee jumping in Soweto(, as well as power and internal swings, abseiling, rap and base jumping, paintballing and rock climbing\u2026 there is something for every adventure junkie.<\/p>\n

Now for the important information that you\u2019ll need to know before you go bungee jumping.<\/p>\n

How much does it cost to do bungee jumping in Soweto?<\/h2>\n

Bungee jumping prices are subject to change without notice. Take a look at Soweto Towers prices<\/a> for the 100-metre bungee jump.<\/p>\n

Discounts are available for groups of six or more.<\/p>\n

Does the price include videos and photos?<\/h2>\n

No, videos and photos are charged separately per person.<\/p>\n

Do I need to make a booking?<\/h2>\n

While you can book online for bungee jumping in Soweto, Soweto Towers works strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n

Can we jump together?<\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, tandem jumping is not included in any of the offers. Tandem jumping is considered to be dangerous and your safety comes first.<\/p>\n

Can we still jump in the rain?<\/h2>\n

Due to safety concerns, all activities at Soweto Towers stop when raining starts. As soon as the rain stops, the crew rigs the necessary equipment and will be ready to continue the activities.<\/p>\n

If you are preparing for a bungee jump and an alarm goes off, you will be asked to evacuate.<\/p>\n

Can I use my own GoPro?<\/h2>\n

While it would be awesome to do your own filming while bungee jumping in Soweto, unfortunately, it\u2019s not allowed. Soweto Towers will not take any responsibility for any damage or loss of equipment.<\/p>\n

Can we bring our own drinks, food or braai?<\/h2>\n

There are no catering or braai facilities at Soweto Towers. However, there is a great restaurant at the towers called Chaf Pozi (it apparently means \u201ca hidden place\u201d) where you can grab a beer or some shisa nyama<\/i> (a braai or \u201cbarbecue\u201d for the non-locals) and play some pool.<\/p>\n

Make sure to get there early to avoid a wait! Expect to pay around R300 for two people.<\/p>\n
