Here are a couple of sight which have been molded in this way to create strange or unlikely natural wonders:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/?attachment_id=28587\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28587\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28587\" src=\"https:\/\/travelstartmu.wpenginepowered.com\/zablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/3072869297_6a9d0d3ccc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Travertine Pools at Pamukkale, Turkey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For thousands of years, these pools have been known to have a healing effect on the human body. The\u00a017 subterranean hot springs have a very high concentration of calcium carbonate, which harden over time resembling a fountain made of chalk. Tourists flock here every year to experience this little bit of magic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/?attachment_id=28584\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28584\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28584\" src=\"https:\/\/travelstartmu.wpenginepowered.com\/zablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/5990890819_db14b3bde4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"357\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lake Retba, Senegal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Known as the Pink Lake, this beautiful waterbed in Senegal is one of the world&#8217;s strangest natural wonders. The pink hue is actually caused by a type of\u00a0algae, called Dunaliella salina, which grows in these waters. The salt content here is so high that it can sometimes even reach 40 percent. This allows the algae to thrive (and you to float\u00a0without a care in the world on the surface.) Locals work long hours here to\u00a0harvest\u00a0the salt from the lovely pink water.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/?attachment_id=28585\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28585\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28585\" src=\"https:\/\/travelstartmu.wpenginepowered.com\/zablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/8519658423_9f4e9cab36.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marble Caves, Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Near Chile&#8217;s border with Argentina you&#8217;ll find this breathtaking wonder of nature. After years and years of wave erosion, these caves with their\u00a0marbleized\u00a0effect were created. The beauty of these caves are enhances (even more) by the gorgeous blue and green waters of the\u00a0Carrera Lake which surround it. Paradise? I think so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travelstartstg.wpenginepowered.com\/?attachment_id=28586\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28586\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28586\" src=\"https:\/\/travelstartmu.wpenginepowered.com\/zablog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/10\/1800816798_ab56c40915.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over 30,000 years ago a prehistoric lake dried up leaving only a\u00a0never-ending\u00a0 array of white\u00a0hexagonal tiles, which stretch as far as the eye can see. This area provides about\u00a025,000 tons of salt annually to local miners.
