This brand new route to The Big Apple takes flight from 16 December 2019 until 27 March 2020, with the possibility to extend. Flights depart Cape Town International Airport<\/a> and land at Newark Liberty International Airport<\/a> (EWR) in just over 14 hours, shaving four hours off the current flight time.<\/p>\n

At 12,580 kilometres, this is the airline\u2019s sixth-longest route and is much welcomed by those travelling for both business and leisure.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s even better \u2013 the centre of Manhattan is just a 30-minute taxi ride away! When returning to the airport, simply hop on the train at Penn Station and you\u2019ll be there in 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

How often are the flights?<\/h2>\n

Flights from Cape Town to New York<\/strong> are scheduled to depart three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 20:50, arriving at 05:45 the following calendar day.<\/p>\n

Flights from New York to Cape Town<\/strong> depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 20:30, landing back home at 18:00 the following calendar day.<\/p>\n
