Earlier this month, we were invited to stay at Latitude Aparthotel and experience what makes this trendy establishment a favourite for travellers in search of long-stay accommodation. Upon first glance, this impressive building towers high above Sea Point Main Road. We couldn\u2019t wait to see the view from the top!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Latitude Aparthotel features 33 apartments, secure parking, a rooftop caf\u00e8 with an outdoor braai area and pool, and a state-of-the-art coworking space. Perfectly located in the hub of vibey Sea Point, you\u2019re a stone\u2019s throw from local supermarkets, trendy caf\u00e8s and the famous Sea Point Promenade.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From their friendly and efficient check-in to QR-coded menus, Latitude prides itself on its digital, contactless services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Latitude Aparthotel takes self-catering to the next level<\/strong>. Kitchens are kitted out with Smeg appliances and sleek granite countertops. All units are fitted with a built-in hob, dishwasher (\u2018cos who has time for dishes?), washing machine and microwave. Day visitors are most welcome to pop in and enjoy the caf\u00e8 and patio pool. Their free Wi-Fi makes it easy to mix a little business with pleasure, so why not?<\/span><\/p>\n

After a \u2018day at the office\u2019, kick back upstairs on the patio loungers as you watch the sunset from the balcony. This is even the perfect spot to curl up with a book in the afternoon. Choose from a selection of local Lady Bonin teas, or the barman can whip up a refreshing sundowner from their wide selection of gins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Breakfast is a whole \u2018nother treat<\/strong>. They have the usual favourites like English breakfast, eggs benedict and omelettes, or opt for healthier options like their chia seed bowl and homemade granola. Lunch ranges from quick toasties to fresh salads and mouth-watering snack plates, including seared tuna, chilli lime calamari and triple cooked fries (seriously, we had to stop ourselves from pigging out!).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Their dinner menu offers simple favourites like boerie rolls, burgers and bobotie to more upscaled delights of ribeye steak, prawns and curry. Try their signature braai platter on Fridays<\/strong> for only R175.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps the biggest thing to love about Latitude Caf\u00e8 is its commitment to using freshly sourced, local ingredients. Their seasonal menu allows their in-house chefs to create selected items by hand, from their granola down to their hollandaise sauce and mayonnaise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday bubbles and brunch\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Saturdays are a festive affair at Latitude. From 11:00 – 13:00, you can enjoy their bottomless bubbly and brunch for just R350\u00a0 ahead<\/strong>. Dig into a trio of fresh oysters, eggs benedict and their luxurious chia seed bowl while you sip on the finest MCC. Booking is essential, so gather your tribe!<\/span><\/p>\n
