Purpose of Role

The Business Presentation Specialist is a visual business communicator and plays an important role in helping the company create, design and format attractive and meaningful electronic presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

The Business Presentation Specialist has a thorough understanding of the business areas and works on the graphic design and copywriting to make the presentations useful and eye-catching.

The successful incumbent will work with fellow colleagues to understand their data and ideas and help convey them in a professional way by transforming them into clear, compelling, highly accurate and visually attractive presentations. This means, making the complicated business topics clear through business presentations that are easy-to-understand for the brain and are visually pleasing to the eye as well.

  • Thorough Understanding of the company and areas of business
  • Creation of the style guidelines
  • Design and enhance presentations in a strategic and creative way

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance/ Economics/ Business
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a business/financial consulting role
  • Proven creative genius experience (creating visual stories in PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with start-up, e-commerce or travel industry clients will be advantageous

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint; thorough working knowledge of Excel, Word and Photoshop
  • Tech savvy – knowledge of and open to using new presentation software
  • Flash and web skills a plus, ability to configure independent graphs and adding details will be added advantage
  • Ability to uphold brand and style guidlines
  • Business acumen
  • Graphic design skills and strong visualiser
  • Ability to synthesise (raw) data in a concise and structured manner
  • Ability to find the story in the data and present this for multiple users
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English with a firm grasp of spelling and grammar
  • Ability to Problem solve
  • Understanding of how people view and understand content
