Key Deliverables
- Reviewing monthly results of ZA markets, including trial balances and supporting schedules/recons;
- Providing guidance and assistance to ZA market accountants;
- Preparing the monthly management reporting pack for the group with commentary on performance for:
- Month;
- Year to date;
- Variance reporting on the above compared to prior year and budget/forecast;
- Liaising with ZA market auditors and ensuring the timeous submission of financial statements and tax assessments for ZA markets;
- Reviewing cash flow forecasts and assessing funding requirements;
- Reviewing intercompany invoicing and reconciliation of intergroup loan accounts;
- Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly ZA market KPI’s;
- Working with Business Intelligence to automate internal control processes;
- Acting as second approver for ZA market bank payments;
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial information in the company database;and
- Preparing ad-hoc financial reports and assistance to the CFO.
Skill Requirements
- Minimum Bcom Honours in Accounting or CA (SA) would be advantageous;
- 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Team/division;
- 1 – 2 years in a lead financial role (not management but senior in a team);
- Previous experience working with International Africa Markets to your advantage;
- Excellent Pastel and Quickbooks knowledge (at least one);
- Excellent MS Excel skills;
- Strong analytical, financial and numerical skills; and
- IDU reporting software knowledge will be an advantage.
