Ticketing Consultant – Flightsite

Job Overview

The main objective of this role is to be a member of the online booking company, Flightsite, issuing tickets on Amadeus whilst delivering service excellence and positively promoting the Company brand.

Duties & Responsibilities

    (An overview, but is not limited to the full function of the role)

  • Double check the airfare and ticketing instructions given by consultants.
  • Responsible for manual fare builds, recalculations as well as auto pricing.
  • Access fare rules and apply the rules to the changes made on the air ticket.
  • Re-issue tickets in line with airfare rules and airline requirements.
  • Ensure all ticketing documentation is in place before issuing.
  • Maintain ticketing processes and procedures to ensure quick, accurate delivery.
  • Issue EMD's according to consultants’ instructions.
  • Adhere to ticketing deadlines.
  • Process refunds of online tickets timeously.
  • Provide an after sales service to online clients.
  • Manage all support functions related to online tickets including special requests and schedule changes.
  • Follow-up with online clients when credit cards are declined.
  • Manage client expectations regarding turnaround time when applying for refunds and re-issuing tickets.
  • Effectively manage queues.
  • Quality control.
  • E-mail consultants and clients e-tickets timeously.
  • Stay abreast of all airline changes and updates relating to fare increases, commission changes and overrides.
  • Work within a team.

Skills, Experience, Education

  • Minimum 5-year ticketing experience on a senior level.
  • Proficient in Amadeus.
  • Strong knowledge of International Fares.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to excel under pressure.
  • A service delivery mindset and a strong client service focus.
  • Solution-driven and the ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
  • Effective team player.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Attractive package market related, based on experience.
