Purpose of Role

To grow the revenue and net profit of the direct sales team at a rate of 20% per year by providing a wonderfully consistent customer experience on calls, walk ins and through email. Travelbar agents are expected to hit monthly targets and must have a strong sales and customer focus. They will work on leasure travel, package enquiry, corporate and group bookings so productivity and good time management is key.


Experience

  • Specific group travel experience
  • Sales experience with proven KPIS
  • At least 2 years in the travel industry
  • Amadeus
  • Fares training 1-3

Key Performance Areas & Indicators

Sales proficiency

  • Increase sales and revenue with a specific focus on groups enquiry
  • Build strong relationships with clients by booking, selling, and managing group airfare from beginning to end
  • Negotiate competitive group airfare rates and terms
  • Effectively and quickly communicate and manage group bookings, deadlines, and invoices
  • Be able to amend and reissue group bookings

Customer Experience

  • Professional written and verbal communication is expected at all times between consultant/client and consultant/consultant
  • All turn-around times are strictly adhered to for quotes
  • Extra’s such as accommodation, car hire and Travelstart products are offered on every booking
  • All information pertaining to a booking and repeated back to the client verbally at the time of booking to avoid errors
  • Provide over the top positive support to customers over the phone and through email
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by anticipating and effectively responding to service issues and requests
  • Be a part of a supportive team
  • Other duties as assigned that positively impact our customers and company
