Fastjet is a multi-award-winning African airline that began flight operations in 2012. Today, fastjet connects three major cities in Zimbabwe by flying between Harare & Victoria Falls, as well as between Harare & Bulawayo. In addition, the airline offers international flights from Harare, Bulawayo & Victoria Falls to Johannesburg in South Africa and from Victoria Falls to Mbombela (Kruger) Nelspruit Mpumalanga in South Africa.<\/p>\n

As part of the airline\u2019s commitment to offering choice, flexibility and value, customers benefit from generous free baggage allowances, flexible change options, multiple payment channels, airport lounge access on select routes, and ancillary services such as car hire. Cabin Baggage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each customer is allowed to carry one item of cabin baggage free of charge. It should weigh no more than 7 kg with maximum dimensions of 55 x 35 x 20 cm. In addition, a small handbag or personal item may also be taken on board provided it does not exceed 40 x 30 x 15 cm. It must be placed under the seat directly in front of you. Customers travelling with infants may also take a small bag containing immediate use items with them. Should any cabin baggage exceed the dimensions mentioned above, it will be checked in and charged as hold baggage at airport prices, should the checked baggage allowance be exceeded.<\/p>\n

Checked Baggage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Checked baggage allowances will vary according to the fare option selected. A Value and ValueFlex fare include one (1) piece of checked baggage (23kg), whilst a ValuePlus fare includes two (2) pieces of checked baggage with a combined weight of 32kgs. Checked baggage allowance is based on a piece concept with a prescribed weight allowance per fare type. Customers may purchase one (1) additional piece of checked baggage. Checked baggage allowance is interchangeable with sports equipment or musical instruments.<\/p>\n

For safety reasons, no single item can exceed 32 kg or a combined maximum dimension of 81cm 119cm 119cm = 319cm.<\/p>\n

If your bag exceeds the maximum weight allowance, you will be charged extra for each additional kg. Oversized bags presented as checked baggage will be charged an excess rate provided that the bag is within the acceptable dimensions prescribed by the airport operator.<\/p>\n

Travel systems (baby stroller or pram), baby car seats and up to two mobility aids fly FREE OF CHARGE.<\/p>\n

There is NO refund or partial payment if your checked bag weighs less than the permitted weight per piece.<\/p>\n

Smart bags<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fastjet permits customers to travel with Smart Bags provided the lithium battery is disconnected and removed at the check-in counter. The bag must adhere to the size and weight restrictions mentioned above. The battery must be carried with you into the aircraft cabin. For safety reasons, if you are unable to remove the battery fastjet will not accept it for carriage. This is in line with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.<\/p><\/p>\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Fastjet offers check- in online from 24 hours to three (3) hours before the scheduled departure time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have checked baggage, please proceed to the check-in desks to drop your bags. If you are departing from Johannesburg, you may go directly to the gate with your electronic boarding pass.<\/p>\n

If you are departing from Harare, Bulawayo, and Victoria Falls, please proceed to the check-in desk to obtain a printed boarding pass.<\/strong> Printing of boarding passes is available exclusively during the check-in period for your chosen flight.
