    • Hi Annelize,

It really depends on what you looking for.

If you a solo traveler and prefer coming and going as you please instead of sticking to a set itinerary then going by yourself would suit you best.

It is pretty safe and I know of quite a colleagues and friends who have visited Thailand on their own and met others along the way.

However if you have limited time, I would recommend a tour if you want to see as much as possible. You would then need to see what tours you would be interested in and if they include the islands and activities you looking for.

  5. Good evening

We are inquiring to obtain suggestions and prices for a holiday to Thailand, which we are planning next year. Our details and requirements are as follows:

We will be a family group of 10 adults and one baby
We are planning on spending approximately 14 days there
We need advice on the best time of year to visit Thailand, which is either just before or after peak season, we were thinking of August/September?
We are very keen scuba divers and snorkelers
Looking for an island vibe on the beach
We do not want to be in the most densely populated, commercial areas, we would prefer less commercial, a little more rustic accommodation and area
We would preferably like to spend 7 days each in 2 different locations, but we will obviously consider your advice
The level of accommodation should preferably be 3-4 star, and again, rather rustic with character, than modern and commercial. We are not too bothered with luxury, more location on the beach/very close to the beach.
We are not looking for full board, but rather breakfast only and possibly a self catering option for other meals
Would it be necessary to rent a vehicle or would public transport in and around surrounding areas be available and affordable
We were thinking that a budget of R15, 000-R20, 000 (definitely not more than R20, 000) per person would be sufficient, are we in the ballpark?

I would really appreciate your feedback!

    Thank you kindly.

    • Hi Dany! Thanks for getting in touch. Right, your budget is very reasonable for what you’re wanting to do. I would suggest that maybe Ko Pha-ngan and Ko Samui are good choices and even the far south of Phuket (away from the tourist beaches etc). There are a number of destination which could world in Thailand. The dates you’re wanting to go though are possibly the worst weather-wise in Thailand, that’s almost in the peak of the rainy season. The best time to avoid the rain is January through to April.

I’d suggest getting in touch with our consultants on with dates and details to get quotes and more suggestions on where to go. All of our consultants have years of experience and many have travelled Thailand extensively too. They will look forward to your email. (you can also call them on 0861 878 278 (opt 5)

  6. Krabi is the beautiful place for your dream honeymoon.
