We are all familiar with the candy bar that goes with the song: “Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that kit kat bar!” right? Well, if you’re not, Kit Kat Candy bar is basically 3 bars of wafer covered with chocolate pieced together. And oh my gosh, it is oh so delicious and you can never get enough!
I am all too acquainted with the chocolately flavor of Kit Kat Bars, maybe a little too much. It wasn’t until recently, however, that I discovered there are actually other flavors out there besides just chocolate!!!
On a recent layover in Japan, I found in the convenience stores Kit Kat Bars that were green tea flavoured! I could not believe my eyes…needless to say, I definitely bought some to try out and they were absolutely amazing! So I researched into different flavors of Kit Kat Bars and guess what else they have in Japan? Here is a short list of some of the flavors: Green Tea, Caramel Flan, Apple, Ginger Ale, Strawberry Cheesecake, Sweet Potato, Miso, Watermelon & Salt, Wasabi, and Soy Sauce.
Now, the caramel flan and the strawberry cheesecake sounds absolutely out of this world, but watermelon & salt? wasabi? and soy sauce? Those sounds kinda weird to me. Then again, Soy Sauce flavor is actually the most popular flavor in Japan right now!
So the next time you are in Japan, make sure you stock up on these different kinds of Kit Kat Bars! It is the only place you will be able to try these different flavors!!!
