The Fever Tree | it's a tree | it's a band

290608_1717 I like to think that South Africa has many unique plants and trees. One of these is the Fever Tree. (Yes, you find them in America and Australia too!) The trunk and branches have a sick yellow green color; it has thorns and small leaves. It is an acacia.

There is also a South African rock band called FEVERTREE. They have a SAMA South African Music Awards) nomination and two CD’s on the shelves. Visit their website to learn more about them.

  1. Hi there Susan,
The fewer tree is not a sick yellow colour. It has a beautifull light lime green colour and is a masterpeace of art when fully grown. It has a satin shine to it.trees.
Do you know what the thorns are there for? It is to protect it. Have a good look at it when you see it again. Specially in the Mphumalanga area Hayzyview and Warmbaths.
I bought to and cant wait for it to grow in the dry Freestate to make my garden glow.
    Regards
