This year cruise liner Oceania Cruises will introduce two new themed cruise ships named Riviera and Marina which are designed for people who love food.
Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises, said: “Our guests are in for a true epicurean odyssey with Riviera.” And he’s right by the sound of it. Riviera offers diverse dining experiences that cater to the palates of inquisitive travellers. Best of all, regardless of which gourmet restaurant they choose to enjoy, there are no additional dining charges.”
The ships will each have a capacity for 1,250 passengers and will boast ten different on-board, top notch dining rooms serving delectable dishes from all over the world. Passengers will be able to choose to dine at the Grand Dining Room which will offer continental and American dishes from a six-course menu. Another option is the Toscana dining room that serves Italian dishes and Red Ginger where passengers can choose from a variety of Asian dishes from its menu. The menus change every day.
There are coffee shops where experienced baristas whip up gourmet lattes and macchiatos and tea rooms where one can enjoy a veritable English afternoon tea.
It’s not all about eating food, you can make food too. Or at least learn how to. Bon Appétit Culinary Centre offers cooking classes for passengers of the Riviera and the Marina. There are lounge areas to digest the multi course dinners and a gym to work off all those accumulated calories.
The inaugural season of the Riviera and Marina cruises starts April 24th and Oceania Cruises are taking bookings now. I just hope that the ships will stay afloat with all those gourmands on board.
