Condor Flugdienst is a German airline operating scheduled flights to 80 global leisure destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and the Caribbean. It is Germany’s third largest airline based on passenger numbers and fleet size.

Condor has been around since 1955, establishing itself as one of Europe’s most affordable leisure carriers. It forms part of the British Thomas Cooke Group and also occasionally partners with fellow German airline, Lufthansa.

Free baggage allowance will depend on which zone your flight falls in and which cabin class you’re in.

Zone 1 & 2 (Europe, North Africa, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands)

Economy Class Light: Hand luggage only.

Economy Class Classic: Passengers are allowed to check 20kg of luggage free of charge.

Premium Class: Passengers are allowed to check 25kg of luggage free of charge.

Zone 3 & 4 (East Africa, Southern Africa, UAE, Asia, Central & South America & Indian Ocean)

Economy Class: Passengers are allowed to check 20kg of luggage free of charge.

Premium Class: Passengers are allowed to check 25kg of luggage free of charge.

Business Class: Passengers are allowed to check 30kg of luggage free of charge.

Brazil (Also Zone 3, but with different rules)

All classes: Passengers are allowed to check 2 pieces of luggage weighing up to 32kg each free of charge.

Zone 5 (USA, Canada & Puerto Rico)

Economy Class: Passengers are allowed to check 1 piece of luggage weighing up to 23kg free of charge.

Premium Class: Passengers are allowed to check 1 piece of luggage weighing up to 32kg each free of charge.

Business Class: Passengers are allowed to check 2 pieces of luggage weighing up to 32kg each free of charge.

Travelling with pets

Cats and dogs may travel with their owners in the cabin, provided that they weigh less than 6kg (including box). A limited amount of pets are allowed per flight, so booking in advance is essential. Pets heavier than 6kg will be transported as checked baggage in the cargo hold.

You can either check in online or at the Condor kiosk at the airport.

If you’re checking in at the airport, it is recommended that you arrive at least two hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight.

Condor Online Check-In

Online check-in opens 24 hours and closes two hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight. You can either print out your boarding pass or receive it electronically.

All passengers, including children and infants, are to be in possession of their identification documents, a passport if flying abroad, as well as any visas required for further travel. Should you not have the relevant travel documents, the airline does reserve the right to deny you boarding.

In flight Entertainment:

On short-haul and medium-haul flights (Zones 1-2), depending on the flight duration, Condor shows entertaining TV series, documentaries and children’s programmes on ceiling monitors in the cabin.

On long-haul flights (Zones 3 to 5) with the Condor Boeing 767 fleet, a personal monitor is available at each seat in all classes, so that passengers can watch shows from a large selection of options.

Food & Beverage:

On short-haul flights (Zone 1-2), passengers are more than welcomed to pre-book meals for a fee when flying in Economy class. Snacks can also be purchased during the flight. All Premium and Business Class flights have meals included in the flight price.

On long-haul flights (Zones 3-5), a free hot meal is served in Economy and all other classes, as well as a cold meal or cold breakfast before landing, depending on the time of day.
