LIFT ensures it's a step ahead in making air travel easier and less stressful for all its customers by giving you complete control of your travels when you need it most. Its fully-flexible ticket option allows you free changes and cancellations outside of 24 hours before your trip for Economy and outside of 1 hour before your trip for Premium. Changes or cancellations made outside of 24 hours prior to departure will be refunded in full to your LIFT Wallet. These funds can be used to rebook your flights.

LIFT does not offer refunds to card or cash. Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of departure time will incur a standard cancellation fee. Price difference may apply based on fare changes.

Children 2 - 11 years old (not yet 12 years of age) pay 70% of the applicable adult base fare‚ excluding Airport Taxes and you only pay airport taxes for infants under 2 - all year round! The discount applies automatically during the booking process‚ on all LIFT flights.

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKING? If you haven't flown either leg of your trip yet‚ you can change your booking online at

STEP 1: Visit and click “MANAGE BOOKING”. Enter the booking reference found on your Travelstart Ticket email and your surname OR login to your customer profile. *STEP 2 * Adjust your booking by selecting the *“rebook” option and follow the steps. Please note: You'll need to pay the difference if the new flights are more expensive. If the new flights are cheaper‚ your LIFT wallet will be refunded with the difference. Drop a mail to if: * You've already taken your outbound flight and need to change your return flight. * You need to change passenger name details. * You've made a booking for more than one traveller in the same reservation and not all travellers need a flight change

Drop a mail to if: * You've already taken your outbound flight and need to cancel your return flight. * You've made a booking for more than one traveller in the same reservation and and only one of the travellers need to be cancelled.

Please note changes or cancellations made within 24 hours prior to departure will incur a standard rebooking fee (as well as a possible difference in fare).

Additional Checked baggage:

Additional Checked baggage can be added in the booking flow or after via the Manage Booking portal on our website. Additional Checked baggage can also be purchased at the airport at a cost of R150 per bag.

Baggage costs and restrictions apply to adults, children and infants. Parents flying with an infant may check in 2 additional pieces of luggage for free (e.g. car seat and stroller).

Sports equipment and bicycles must be checked in.

Need to transport your furry friend?

No problem. LIFT allows travellers to fly with small dogs onboard selected flights. Your dog must be in an approved soft-case dog carrier bag and placed under the seat in front of you. Your furry friend also gets a special LIFT Paw Pass.

LIFT’s aircrafts are SACAA and IATA approved, sanitised and cleaned after every flight.

• All passengers and staff are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing during the flight.

• Temperature screening will be taken at the airport terminals. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5°C and higher will be denied entry and taken for further screening.

• All surfaces like security trays, check-in stations, tray tables and screens are meticulously sanitised before every flight.

• All passengers are encouraged to check-in and buy extra products or services online to avoid unnecessary contact during the airport process.

• LIFT encourages passengers to scan their boarding passes themselves to avoid unnecessary contact during boarding.

• Onboard HEPA filters extract more than 99% of air particles, including viruses and bacteria.

LIFT’s online check-in opens 24 hours before departure.

Due to COVID-19 screening protocols‚ it is recommended that all travellers arrive at the airport at least 120 minutes (2 hours) before their flight departure. Check-in strictly closes 45 minutes before departure time.

Boarding closes 15 minutes before departure. Travellers who do not check-in or board their flight within the allocated time frame will forfeit their ticket and seat.

LIFT understands the importance of serving quality refreshments to their passengers. They have teamed up with vida e caffè to offer you fresh, hot coffee on board. If you’re catching an afternoon flight, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a G&T or wines from top South African wine estates. LIFT offers light snacks and beverages at no extra charge.

The A320 offers the widest cabin in the narrow-bodied aircraft market, and with their extra legroom seats, LIFT passengers are guaranteed comfort onboard. Certain seat selections carry an extra charge, such as seats with additional legroom and exit seats.

LIFT Premium offers industry-leading legroom and guarantees either a window or aisle seat.

LIFT allows Emotional Support and Service dogs onboard their aircraft. All such requests must be made via their Customer Support Desk.
