For regional flights on Kenya Airways,baggage allowance is set by the airline as follows:
- Economy Class: 30kg
- Business Class: 40kg
And if you’re flying to Europe on Kenya Airways:
- Economy Class passengers: 2 pieces, 23kg each
- Business Class passengers: 3 pieces, 23kg each
A baggage that weighs more than 23kg would not be allowed inside a flight but would be treated as freight. A charge of EUR200.00 or equivalent in local currency can be applied to every excess baggage of more than 32 kg
Kenya Airlines would not allow flammable liquids, ammunitions, fireworks, explosives and flares inside. Also, lighters and corrosive materials, radioactive materials, sporting equipment such as billiard cues, golf clubs, baseball/cricket bats, hockey sticks, etc and baby strollers are not allowed.
If you are travelling with pets, they may not be allowed except cats and dogs that can only through its Airways Cargo. This should come with the necessary documents and airway bill. However, it is expected that arrangements are made prior to travelling.
Travelers are advised to check in 30 minutes before any domestic flight while the International flight check-in closure is 90 minutes before its departure. This means that every traveler should be at the airport early for any flight movement.
There are different flight classes for travellers such as the Premier Business and Economy Class services. These services come with different offers and incentives.
