When in downtown Canton, the McKinley National Monument is well worth a visit. The monument shines as an architectural phenomenon surrounded by exquisite gardens. Buried here are President William McKinley and his wife, First Lady Ida McKinley. Within walking distance to the monument is the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum. Visitors will enjoy the miniature 1800's town, a science museum as well as a discovery centre for children.
In Akron, Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens stand as a national landmark. Displaying Tudor-styled design, the massive 65 roomed manor was built by Goodyear Rubber Company founder, F.A. Seiberling in 1912. The house and landscaped gardens is open to the public.
Another Akron gem is the Akron Zoo. Stretched over 50 acres this world-class conservation zoo houses over 700 animals. Star attractions are the endangered Humboldt penguins, jaguar, and the elusive snow leopard.
An attraction to delight the whole family is the Harry London Chocolate Factory. Here visitors can tour the 84 year old factory and sample chocolates. More than 500 candies and chocolates are made at the factory.

Akron–Canton Regional Airport (code CAK) is about 16km south east of Akron and 16km north west of Canton. The airport provides the main access point to Akron, Canton and the central Ohio area.
