Aviation operations began at Paris Orly Airport (or Villeneuve-Orly Airport as it was then known) in 1932, when it was used as a secondary airport to Le Bourget. However, after serving as a combat field for the German Luftwaffe during World War II and the United States Army Air Forces in the post-war years, Paris Orly Airport finally came into its own and began commercial operations.
Today, the airport features two separate terminal buildings and three runways, one of which is adapted to accommodate the large Airbus A380.
Paris Orly Airport is the busiest airport in terms of domestic departures and the second-busiest overall in passenger traffic.

Paris Orly Airport has seven car parks: PO, P1, P2, P3, P4, P6 and P7. Short and long-term options are available in each parking facility. Dedicated parking bays for disabled passengers are available in PO and P3. P7 requires online reservation.
