Fly To La Paz, Bolivia
Immerse yourself in Bolivian culture with a visit to one of the biggest cities in the country. Not only the administrative center, La Paz is also the country’s cultural centre, so if you’re a museum fanatic or you’re ready to scour the markets for interesting and authentic pieces of Latin America, then La Paz will surpass all you expectations.
At an elevation of 3650m, there’s much more than culture to enjoy here though. It’s the world’s highest administrative capital and it’s surrounded on all sides by mountains. The city itself lies in a bowl-like shape and the buildings that crawl up the sides seem to cling to the mountains with reckless abandon. As part of the Andes Mountains, Mount Illimani forms the highest peak in the area and it’s always covered in snow. A clear day will allow you to marvel at it’s white top from many spots around town.
Whether you hang out in trendy cafes or take the museums and cathedrals from one side of town to the next, you can do this in the cheapest possible way by booking on Travelstart where you can view, compare prices and book all airlines flying from your nearest airport.
