Fly To Leipzig, Germany
Welcome to a city where the days are filled with cultural enlightenment and the evenings are alive with vibrant entertainment choices. Leipzig is unpretentious and laid-back, and thanks to its youthful population, the nightlife is thriving.
While Leipzig is an important business hub featuring a cutting edge transportation system, it also offers an impressive dose of culture and musical history. This is where Wagner was born and where Bach was the choirmaster of the famous Thomanerchor boys’ choir. The city is dotted with incredible historic churches and might be the best place in Germany to settle in for a stellar classical music performance.

See and do
Exploring the famous churches of Leipzig is a must. St Nicholas Church is where the peaceful revolution started and was the point of gathering for the people in the days and months running up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. St Thomas Church, on the other hand, is where Bach played cantor for the now 800-year-old Thomanerchor boys’ choir.
Leipziger Notenspur is a tourist trail that takes visitors from one musically historical site to the next. End the day off with a classical music performance at the famous Gewandhaus zu Leipzig.
For a day out in the sun, the Leipzig Zoo is perfect. It is one of Europe’s most modern zoos and the different animal habitats have been recreated expertly. Highlights include a restaurant which overlooks the ‘African safari plains’ where you can see giraffes, zebra and ostrich roam, as well as the boat ride through the hothouse ‘Gondwana’ area.
