See and do

The Church of Domkirke might be the most impressive historical monument in Aarhus. Apart from boasting Denmark’s largest stained-glass window it is also the longest church in the country and it’s over 800 years old. It’s regarded by some as the most beautiful building in Aarhus.
Jump from the historic to the modern at the very impressive-looking ARoS Modern Art Museum. Here you can admire works of art from Warhol and Cézanne and stroll along the elevated walkway on the top floor, looking out through the colourful glass panels onto the city. Continue your cultural journey by visiting some of the city’s iconic museums and sites like the Occupation Museum, Den Gamle By museum and Moesgård Museum.
Get some fresh air when you explore the grounds of the Danish royal family’s summer residence if they’re not there at the time. Stroll around the massive lawn or have a picnic in these beautiful gardens, only a stone’s throw from the sea.
