Overview
The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation,
and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This is to ensure optimum
systems service and performance delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
(Key deliverables for the role include but are not limited to the following:)
- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward,getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications
- Use Linux/Unix skills to manage AWS and group server environment
- Managing Azure, AWS & Google Cloud Platforms
- Managing Github and AzureDevops repos and pipelines
- Maintain a secure and solid IT Infrastructure for all ecommerce applications.
- Systems administration of all day-to-day tasks and responsibilities and ensuring the continual uptime of all production servers.
- Support developers’ infrastructure, deployment, and operational requirement
- Maintain Windows Server stack and IIS 7v
- MS SQL management and maintenance
Skills Requirements
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Experience with Virtualization services
- Experience with maintaining production Linux environments
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet,Chef, Octopus Deploy, Terraform or similar
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services(experience withAWS and Azure is required)
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL and NoSQL (Mongo Db and Redis), Postgres
- A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available
- environment
