See and do
Gold Coast’s number one attraction is most certainly its beaches, and with an uninterrupted stretch of white sand skirting the city, it’s easy to find a spot where you can spend the day, or simply hop from beach to beach. Surfers can make their way to Coolangatta and Burleigh Heads as these are known for having the best waves.
After a day out in the sun, take a stroll along the esplanade of Broadbeach. This is you’ll find boutique shops and trendy cafes to your heart’s content. There is literally just a strip of green separating your cocktail from the beach and it’s a great place for sundowners and dinner.
After you’ve seen the beaches and all the shops, there is still more to explore in Gold Coast. Head out to Gold Coast Hinterland, a beautiful stretch of natural vegetation where you’ll find the area’s two most beautiful national parks, Lamington and Springbrook. Hike along densely forested and unspoiled mountains of the McPherson Range and drink in the subtropical paradise of rainforests, waterfalls, lookout points and wildlife sightings.
