Purpose of role
As the Affiliate Account Manager, the role’s purpose is to build and maintain relationships with existing and new affiliates in order to contribute to overall growth, strategy, sales and revenue targets through exceptional account management and innovative marketing.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to maintain existing affiliates and acquire new affiliates
- Coordinate with various teams to address affiliate needs in an accurate and timely manner by providing marketing materials that convert and provide exclusive marketing materials to further motivate and support affiliate needs
- Implement affiliate marketing activity including email campaigns, newsletters, blog, etc to increase revenue targets
- Recommend process improvements to increase revenue targets
- Maintain open communication with all affiliates on day-to-day issues
- Stay current with trends in affiliate marketing and identify new opportunities by monitoring competitors and other affiliate programs to ensure we are on par with our offering or identify opportunities of where we can improve
- Work with management team to execute and close new affiliate deals
- Communicate with new and existing affiliates regarding upcoming promotions and optimization opportunities
- Recruitment of new affiliates and identifying new opportunities & relationship building
- Review affiliate applications (decline & approve), monitor website content , website traffic and overall publisher performance
- Deal with new and existing affiliates regarding account and new queries via email, chat and telephone
- Work proactively with new, mid-level and low performance affiliates to increase new sources of traffic
- Responsible for day-to-day affiliate program operations, process and QA
- Monitor and analyse results of affiliate campaigns, including weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Reactivate dormant affiliates
- Maintain affiliate blog and content updates
Requirements
- 1+ year in Affiliate Marketing, Account Management or similar
- Bachelors Degree or relevant other tertiary qualification
- Understanding of Digital marketing and its various channels
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Willingness to contribute towards the team’s sales and revenue targets
- Analytical mindset
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- Effective sales and negotiation skills
- Driven and results-orientated
- Effective reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members within the organisation
