Overview

The Supply Manager will be responsible for negotiations and maximising all Land deals, ensuring each deal is maximised to the benefit of Club Corporate Travel and the Club Travel Group. Specific responsibilities will include supplier negotiations, maximising all deals with the Club Corporate environment, ensuring all commission due is timeously collected, working with the Club Group/Travelstart counterparts to accurately model the forecasted income from each deal, identifying, reporting, and stopping any possible revenue leakages and working closely with all departments within the organisation to ensure all deals receive the support required to maximise ROI.

Duties & Responsibilities

(An overview, but is not limited to the full function of the role)

  1. Internal Processes/Technology
    • Negotiate land supply commission and marketing support deals working in collaboration with Club Group and Travelstart
    • Ensure that deals negotiated at Group level are communicated and supported by operations to maximise revenue
    • Responsible for driving all negotiated deals within the Club Corporate Group ecosystem, ensure that all stakeholders are aware of what is required to influence performance
    • Work with Tech Support to ensure content is available as desired through the group
    • Maintain optimal knowledge of NexCT system
    • Inform marketing of upcoming promotions and tactics to ensure customers are informed of deals
  2. Financial management/ Reporting
    • Maximise the commercial relationships with current and possible new partners
    • Manage the performance of deals using data to guide conversations with partners and report on performance internally
    • Use data to forecast the performance of deals to within 95% of actual income level and ongoing review for the lifespan of a deal
    • Ensure follow up of all commissions and marketing support deals from suppliers
    • Proactively use supplier support data to identify opportunities for additional commission
  3. Customer Requirements
    • Build and maintain a professional relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
    • Market awareness – be aware of what the market is doing and ensure appropriate action is taken to protect our position in the market
  4. General
    • Strive to meet and promote the Group’s essential intent, purpose, and DNA, at all times and drive the strategic and operational plans in line with this
    • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to support commission/marketing contributions

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Good understanding of finances (budgets/reporting, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years managerial experience
  • Post matric commercial qualification will be advantageous
  • Sales and marketing skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of the Travel industry
  • Strong GDS knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • PC literate especially MS Office packages
  • Ability to inspire confidence and rapport with staff/clients and suppliers
  • Well-developed problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptive to change
  • Ability to excel under pressure
  • Discretion and awareness of confidentiality

  • Excellent time management, organizational and follow-through skills
  • An ability to respond quickly and accurately
  • Takes initiative to support team and management as required
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable car
