Purpose of Role

To recover any failed payments and bookings on the Travelstart website in a timely and profitable manner. The agent also works on converting unpaid bookings to paid.


  • 5 years leadership experienced in a multi team sales environment
  • Proven track record in the travel industry

Qualification / Certifications

  • Bachelors in commerce, management or business.

Knowledge And Skills Requirements

  • Software: MS Word, MS Excel, Ms Outlook, MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in multinational and cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English
  • Business plan execution

Key Performance Areas & Indicators

Recovery of failed payments

  • Monitor queues throughout the day
  • Respond to all relevant inbound calls
  • Respond and action all relevant email correspondence with customers
  • Contact the client via email, SMS and phone to inform client of reasons for payment failure
  • Offer alternative forms of payment or options to the client
  • Follow up EFT pending booking on queue and convert to paid

Recovery of failed bookings

  • Monitor queues throughout the day
  • Contact the client via email, SMS and phone to inform client of reasons for booking failure
  • Rebook where possible on a comparable rate / routing
  • Inform relevant internal teams of booking failures
  • Offer alternative forms of payment or options to the client
