For a glimpse into Changchun’s Japanese colonial history, Culture Square is the best starting point. Several historical buildings from the Manchukuo era can be viewed here. The New Palace of the Emperor of Manchukuo and the former Manchukuo State Council and Military Affairs buildings all offer excellent examples of early Twentieth Century Japanese architecture. The vibrant atmosphere of the Square is promoted by people playing traditional Chinese instruments.
Banruo Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the city. Originally built in 1922, the gateway to the temple comprises three paratactic arches. The temple features a dense wooded area and erected halls.
Changchun Movie Wonderland is a great tourist attraction in itself. This is the first movie theme park in China and incorporates the spirits of Disney and Hollywood. The park’s giant screen, 3D water screen, dome screen, 4D theatre, and Laser theatre are just some of the features that pull in the crowds.
Changchun World Sculpture Park traverses 92 hectares and houses over 320 sculptures contributed by more than 270 artists from 110 countries. The main sculpture titled “Friendship, Peace, and Spring” is a symbol of the unity of people over five continents.
The largest man-made forest park in Asia, Jingyuetan National Forest Park, houses the ski resort of Jingyuetan. During the summer months, there are plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming.

Changchun Longjia International Airport – CGQ

Changchun Longjia International Airport is situated in the Jilin Province and serves Changchun and Jilin. The airport opened in 2005 and is considered the largest civil airport in the Jilin region.
The airport is 32km north-east of Changchun and 76km north-west of Jilin City.
