No Credit Card? No worries! Book flights now
So you have planned your trip and all you need to do now is pay for the actual plane tickets. Here at Travelstart we really aim to make the entire process as quick, easy and safe as we possibly can, and this is not simply limited to finding the cheapest flights to suit your budget. Making your payment should not be a hassle, and although payment via credit card is an option that goes without saying, we understand that you may not feel entirely comfortable giving out those details. Now before you start scrambling – don’t! We have you covered with alternative payment methods.
An internet transfer, or electronic funds transfer (EFT) can be made if you are registered for online banking. You simply need to log on to your internet banking account and you can then go through the steps to pay your total amount. Just make sure that you let us know that your payment is coming in by sending us your payment confirmation. This can be emailed to email@example.com or faxed to 086 679 5337.
What makes it even easier is that we have accounts for the four main banks of South Africa, so you can line up your payment to the same bank that you use. Making payments to and from the same bank will save you additional banking costs and it will be done instantly; so there is no need to wait those three long business days.

If you are not close to an Internet connection you can make a cash or bank deposit straight from your very own bank. You simply need the banking details of the relevant bank as seen above, and you can then make your deposit for the total amount at the teller.
You may not have a credit card, but if you have a debit card you can gladly make use of that. Since Travelstart is now officially an approved beneficiary at the four main South African banks listed above, you can use your debit card in your local bank. This is very simple as all you need to do is swipe your card at the Self Service Terminal, enter your Travelstart reference number, and there you have it!
Is it safe to pay online?
This certainly is an important question to ask in order to ensure that your private details are safe. For Travelstart, the answer is a very short and sweet “of course!” We are very well aware of the risks involved when handing over sensitive information online, and that is why we have taken all the steps to ensure that you are always safe and protected.
We make use of SGC-enabled SSL Certificates from Thawte – a trusted company started by our very own Mark Shuttleworth – and you will see our Thawte Secured Seal proudly displayed on our secured pages. In layman’s terms, this basically means that your information is entered on an encrypted connection, so your information can not be stolen by anyone else.
If you do decide to go ahead with a credit card payment you can rest assured that we have a dedicated fraud team who have your best interests at heart. Should you feel that you may be a victim of credit card fraud, our team will take a hands-on approach to follow up on the issue and resolve it. Even when there are no discrepancies, we are still working meticulously to protect your information.
The bottom line is that your safety is paramount to us, and so we do all we can to ensure that you can book with us with peace of mind. With all the bookings that we handle in one day, it would be ludicrous for us not to keep your safety at the forefront of our minds! If, at any time you feel uncertain, please do not hesitate to contact us via email, telephone, or the chat function found on our website.
Due to the business model and prerequisites of the variety of selected carriers Travelstart offers, not all payment methods may be accepted.
