Barnacleport was sprung from obscurity in the 16th century when Captain Lyle Rattlebones and his crew were navigating the treacherous waters of the Wutip Ocean. Lost and in desperate need of fresh rum supplies, they spotted a wild tangle in the distance - known today as North Seoland.

They settled the island and quickly transformed it into a careening station for pesky barnacles (which is how the island got its name) and refuge for pirates and seafarers to drink rum and share sea tales.

Today the island is known for its beautiful portside harbour and fascinating attractions that whisper of duels and trysts between norotiours privateers and legendary buccaneers.

The island is particularly famous for its rum festivals and treasure hunts. Visitors can taste authentic pirate rums infused with some of the rarest ingredients in the world, or plunge into the turquoise waters and search for undiscovered treasures.

The surrounding tropical jungle is also home to famous pirate hideouts and fabled grottos.

Barnacleport invites you to buckle down the hatches and feel the wild, untamed soul of the ocean and the legendary pirates who mapped the world.

You will need to pay 500 Doubloons and know the difference between “Ahoy!”, “Three sheets to the wind” and “Hempen halter” to enter.

Ensure you have enough gunpowder, a sharpened sword and are able to guzzle rum with the best of them. Watch out for the kraken when venturing into the briny deep. Avoid the area around Periwin-kle Point and Squidsquirter Square; it is a popular spot for duels between carousers and old seadogs.

Yellow fever vaccination is required. Barnacleport is at risk for malaria, so precautions should be taken to avoid mosquito bites. Scurvy is also a problem, so Vitamin C supplements are recommended.
